Once your SLIM-Collaborate site has been created, your designated Site Administrator(s) will be provided with URLs for the main and admin site and login credentials for the root Admin user account. The following tasks should be performed to ensure access to site features and functions:
•Log into the Admin site and upload the license file (License.dat) to activate your SLIM-Collaborate site.
• Change the temporary Admin username and password to something more secure.
•Configure the SMTP settings used to send and receive system notifications. Because temporary passwords are emailed to the address in each new user profile, you MUST do this before you begin creating user profiles.
• (optional, but highly recommended) Choose a backup Admin user in case the primary site admin is not available and set up the backup admin user account. Your backup site admin can be any other licensed user, but will have to be given Manage Site permissions to log into the Admin site.
•Decide how users logging into the main or admin sites will be authenticated. To get up and running quickly, we highly recommend starting with SLIM-Collaborate’s default Internal authentication option. For information about implementing LDAP, Active Directory, SAML, or Custom user authentication, please contact your QSM Account Manager using the contact information provided on your license page or license email. If you need help locating either of these resources, please contact QSM Support or call our toll free line (800 424-6755).
