To support data exchange between SLIM-Collaborate projects
and SLIM desktop tools, SLIM-Collaborate must keep track of settings in both
projects and their associated workbooks. Collaborate does this by
maintaining an internal flag in each project or template that stores information
about the project’s or template’s current readiness for skills generation. This
is particularly important for skills generation because several conditions must
be satisfied for skills calculations to work:
• The SLIM-Collaborate project or template must have a supported-version associated workbook with skills turned on and a valid skills configuration.
• The version of SLIM-Estimate installed for SLIM on the Server must be later than or equal to the project or template’s associated workbook.
If a SLIM-Collaborate site is upgraded to a newer version or the SLIM on the Server settings in the Admin site’s Enterprise settings have been edited or turned on/off, it is possible to end up with one or more projects that have an incorrect internal skills flag. In most cases, upgrading a site or changing SLIM on the Server settings will automatically reset the skills flags for each project/template. But if you encounter a project or template that meets the conditions for successful skills generation (but will not generate skills), your Site Administrator can refresh skills eligibility for QSM Hosted sites. Users who encounter such projects should contact their site admin and request that the skills flags be regenerated.
