Upgrade Conversions to Existing External Calls

If your SLIM-Collaborate site was upgraded from a prior version (3.1, for example) and you had defined one or more external calls triggered by changes in a project’s solution workflow status, your external calls will still be available via the project toolbar on the main Collaborate site, but the connection between the “trigger” (change in workflow status) and the automatic launching of the external call will be severed.  You can still call external applications manually from within a project using the External Calls icon in the project toolbar.

External calls created in SLIM-Collaborate 4.0 are not triggered by solution workflow status changes and could be called only from projects in the Estimation stage. Starting with SLIM-Collaborate 5.0 external calls are now available for Closeout projects. When your Collaborate 4.0 external calls are upgraded, they will retain the association with the Estimation stage (because this is all that was available when they were defined). If you wish to use an external call created in an earlier version of SLIM-Collaborate with Closeout projects as well as Estimation projects, your site administrator will need to update the Services field on the Edit External Calls dialog.
