A solution method for projects in the Estimation stage. The Trend Based solution reflects average schedule and effort performance for projects of the same size from the project’s trend group. The Trend Based method calculates time and effort based on projects of similar size in the project trend. PI is not an input to this calculation – it is calculated based on the trend effort and time and the project size.
