Stage

In SLIM-Collaborate, stage refers to a defined step or position in the project lifecycle.  Estimation stage projects can be early, rough order of magnitude feasibility assessments typically performed to decide whether a proposed project or bid is worth pursuing or more refined estimates performed later in the lifecycle when a defensible, achievable work plan is needed. Closeout stage projects have been completed and put into initial production – at this point, estimated schedule, size, defect, and effort data is replaced with final actuals from the project.
