Self-Hosted Sites

If your company is hosting your SLIM-Collaborate site, your site administrator can decide whether to install a supported version of the SLIM Desktop Suite on your SLIM-Collaborate server to make these functions available to you within SLIM-Collaborate.   Instructions for installing SLIM on the Server are provided in the Self-Hosted Installation Guide.  Please contact QSM support for assistance.

Once you have installed SLIM on the Server, you can use these two group boxes to activate it for your Collaborate site:

      SLIM-Suite Installation (application folder designation).

SLIM-Suite Capabilities (Skills Charts and Reports checkbox and Refresh Skills Eligibility button).

Refreshing Skills Data

Before effort, cost, or staffing data for projects in the Estimation stage can be broken out by skill category, the Estimation projects in your portfolio must be configured correctly and must contain valid skills allocation data. There may be times when the internal skills flags for these projects require updating. Typically, this can happen when SLIM on the Server is turned on or the desktop version used for SLIM on the Server is updated.  The Refresh Eligibility for Skills Data button performs these updates on all Estimation projects in your portfolio.

For more information on this feature, see the SLIM on the Server topic of this user guide.
