Our default 2FA solution uses TOTP authenticator applications installed on each user’s cell phone to generate the second “factor” required for login to SLIM-Collaborate. This method is more secure than text-based codes. The choice of authenticator app(s) is usually made by the client’s IT department - any authenticator app that uses TOTP (Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, Authy, etc.) will work with SLIM-Collaborate. Because our 2FA support is implemented as a built-in “plugin” to Collaborate, it can be turned on or off by your Site Administrator without needing a new release of (or upgrade to) SLIM-Collaborate.
