The first three columns of the Permissions by Role Matrix allow the site admin to quickly grant block access to preconfigured groups of features:
• Manage Site. The Manage Site function grants full access to the Admin site, full Manage Projects permissions, and full access to the Estimation and Closeout services (if licensed by your organization). It does NOT automatically grant Back Office permissions. If you want your site admin to have full access to the Back Office menu items, you should grant full access to the Back Office service manually.
Users with Manage Site permissions can activate/upload the site license, customize site-wide enterprise settings, create/edit External Calls, set up, edit, and deactivate user profiles, create/edit user roles, create/edit/delete the OBS, assign users to/remove users from OBS notes, override user default roles at the OBS node level, and edit the lookup tables that determine which selection items are available in drop-down selection fields on the main SLIM-Collaborate site). On the main site, they can create, edit, advance, and delete projects and create, edit, and delete public dashboards, folders, and filters. Because Manage Site permission grants nearly unlimited access to features on both the Admin and main SLIM-Collaborate sites, it should be used with caution.
• Manage Projects. When combined with permissions to one or more services, the Manage Projects group of functions allows a user to create, edit, delete, and assume Primary Responsibility for project records stored in associated services on the main SLIM-Collaborate site. It also allows users to create, edit, and delete their own public filters, dashboards, and dashboard folders.
• Back Office. Users assigned to a role with the Back Office group of functions gain access to all Back Office menu items and features on the main SLIM-Collaborate site. They can upload and manage configuration sets, templates, trends, contingency profiles, associated workbooks, import Estimation and Closeout projects, export Closeout projects to SLIM-DataManager .smp file format, and perform round trip data exchange between the Estimation service and the SLIM-Estimate desktop application. They can also create, edit, advance, and delete projects and create, edit, and delete public dashboards, folders, and filters.
