Associating an OBS (Organizational Breakdown Structure) node with a project makes it easy to grant block access to groups of users. When you use an OBS node to grant access to the project, all users assigned to that node will gain access with the privileges they were granted (via the Admin site) for projects linked to that node. In most cases, permissions will be determined by each user’s default role unless a different role was assigned to them on the OBS node you select here. To ensure that only appropriate access privileges are granted, Back Office administrators should work with the Site Admin to make sure they understand - and have access to - the current OBS structure.
Check the “Grant Access to higher nodes” checkbox to provide access to all users who belong to the selected OBS node or any higher node in the OBS structure.
If you select an Associated OBS Node to which you do not have access or assign primary responsibility to another user, you will be added to the Access list for the uploaded project with Full Access rights. See the Access tab section of this document for more detailed descriptions of the project access options.
