Assigning Primary Responsibility

To override the assignment in your configuration source, you can manually assign Primary Responsibility for the imported projects via the Assign Primary Responsibility drop down list. Note that only users with ‘Manage Projects’ permission in their default roles will appear in the list.

If your configuration source has no Primary Responsibility assignment and you do not provide a manual assignment, you will be added to the User Access list of each imported project with Full Access.

Choose from the following selections:

[unassigned]. This option defaults Primary Responsibility to the user designated in your configuration source (project or template). If your configuration source has no primary responsibility setting, you will be added to each project’s User Access List with Full Access.

Select user from list. Use this option to manually override the default Primary Responsibility setting from your configuration source or supply a Primary Responsibility assignment before completing access settings manually after the import.  If you assign Primary Responsibility to a user other than yourself, you will be granted Full Access to the project via the project’s User Access List. If your configuration source has no primary responsibility setting, you will be assigned primary responsibility for the uploaded projects.
